Dear Greatfather Winter,

I'd like something in my life to happens that's worthy of a new surname. It's been years since I hit the age of majority. I want to feel like it!

Sincerely,

-- Dinpik Fogbuster (who's really tired of using her mother's last name)

@ Dinpik. That GOR thing sounds super helpful to keep things simple. *nod* Fort Weyr intended it to keep the members focused on having something happen in the story, rather than just the character(s) wandering around. But I can definitely see where it would help keep track of multiple plots. Echoin...

Never set the cat on fire -- you only will annoy it. Oh, writing tips. Okay. One of the fan clubs I was in (Fort Weyr, for Dragonriders of Pern ) had a writers' guide in its handbook. I'm going to quote from it, as much as I can remember. They had a very basic plot outline the editors called GOR: Go...

"All ready for winter, eh?" Dinpik smiled at the librarian on duty. "Something like that, yeah," she said, tucking her gloves in her coat pockets. Winter held Stormwind in its grasp; no real snowfall yet, but the cold turned people into bundles of woolens and the occasional fur. ...

The Pause That Really Refreshes

by Dinpik » November 12th, 2014, 1:57 pm

((NB: This story takes place in early September of this year)) 9:47 am There was a gnome swearing in the hallway. Senior Clerk Dixon poked her head around the supply closet. The culprit was the usual suspect -- the gnome who had for some reason befriended Grathier. Instead of the usual covered pan ...
